Description

Electric PTFE-lined butterfly valves are designed for automated isolation and general throttling of corrosive process media. The PTFE lining creates a corrosion-resistant barrier between the process fluid and the valve body, allowing the valve to be selected for compatible acids, alkalis, solvents, and other chemical solutions where unlined metal valves may be unsuitable.

The series is available in wafer, lugged, and flanged body designs to match different piping arrangements. Wafer versions provide a compact installation option between mating pipe flanges. Lugged versions use threaded mounting lugs, allowing each pipeline flange to be bolted to the valve body separately. Flanged versions provide integral flange connections for permanent process pipelines where a conventional bolted installation is preferred.

PTFE is used for the sealing and disc configuration to support corrosion resistance throughout the valve flow path. Carbon steel and stainless steel body options with PTFE lining allow the valve construction to be selected according to the external operating environment and project material requirements.

The valve can be equipped with ON/OFF, modulating, or intelligent electric actuators for remote open-close operation, adjustable disc positioning, and local status monitoring. Electric PTFE-lined butterfly valves are commonly used in chemical transfer systems, acid and alkali handling lines, wastewater treatment, electroplating equipment, chemical dosing systems, and other corrosive fluid applications.
