Electric actuated 3-piece ball valves combine a full-port stainless steel ball valve with a quarter-turn electric actuator for automated shut-off service in industrial and sanitary piping systems.
The three-piece body construction allows the center section to be removed while the valve ends remain connected to the pipeline. This simplifies maintenance of internal components such as seats, seals, ball, and stem, reducing pipeline disassembly during servicing. Compared with one-piece or two-piece ball valve designs, the three-piece construction is better suited to systems where inspection, cleaning, or replacement of wear parts may be required.
The full-port ball design provides an unobstructed flow path when the valve is fully open, helping minimize pressure loss across the valve. PTFE seats provide reliable sealing performance and compatibility with a wide range of water-based fluids, oils, gases, and compatible chemical media. Stainless steel valve body options make the valve suitable for general industrial service as well as corrosion-sensitive process applications.
Threaded, flanged, socket-welded, butt-welded, and sanitary tri-clamp end configurations are available to suit different piping systems. Sanitary tri-clamp versions are suitable for applications requiring quick disassembly and cleaning, including food processing, beverage production, pharmaceutical equipment, and other hygienic process systems.
The valve can be supplied with ON/OFF, modulating, or intelligent electric actuators. ON/OFF actuators are used for remote open-close operation, while modulating actuator versions allow the valve opening angle to be adjusted where partial-flow control is required. Intelligent actuator options can include an LCD display for local status indication and parameter setting.
Electric actuated 3-piece ball valves are commonly used in water treatment systems, chemical processing equipment, industrial automation lines, OEM machinery, skid-mounted systems, HVAC installations, and sanitary process applications requiring automated valve operation and maintainable valve construction.
