Cryogenic Globe Valve
Cryogenic globe valves are designed for manual shut-off and general flow adjustment in low-temperature and cryogenic-service pipelines. The globe valve structure uses linear disc movement to open, close, or adjust the flow passage, making it suitable for systems that require controlled manual operation under low-temperature conditions.
The extended bonnet, or long stem design, helps keep the handwheel and stem packing area away from the extremely cold pipeline section. This structure reduces the risk of freezing around the operating area and helps protect the operator and sealing components from direct exposure to very low process temperatures.
The flanged body design provides a stable bolted connection for industrial low-temperature pipelines. Common flange standards can be supplied to match different project requirements, including GB, DIN, ASME, and JIS standards.
Body material options include WCB, SS304, SS316, SS316L, and special alloys. Material selection should be based on the actual working temperature, pressure, medium, and project requirements, especially for low-temperature service where material toughness and compatibility are important.
Cryogenic globe valves are commonly used in liquid nitrogen systems, liquid oxygen systems, liquid argon pipelines, industrial gas storage and distribution, low-temperature process equipment, air separation units, and other systems requiring manual valve control for low-temperature media.
