Electric wafer thin ball valves are designed for automated shut-off in piping systems where installation space and assembly weight need to be minimized. The slim wafer-type body is installed between pipeline flanges, reducing the face-to-face dimension compared with conventional flanged ball valves and making the valve suitable for compact equipment layouts.
The wafer construction requires fewer bolted joints and less installation space than a full flanged body. This is useful in skid-mounted systems, HVAC equipment, water treatment units, utility lines, and other installations where the valve must fit within a restricted pipe rack, cabinet, or machine enclosure.
PTFE seats provide reliable sealing and compatibility with a range of compatible liquids, gases, oils, and chemical media. The stainless steel valve body offers suitable corrosion resistance for general industrial applications and process environments where carbon steel construction is not preferred.
The valve can be equipped with ON/OFF, modulating, or intelligent electric actuators. ON/OFF versions are used for remote open-close operation, while modulating actuators allow the opening angle to be adjusted for applications requiring partial valve positioning. Intelligent actuator options can provide local status indication and parameter setting through an LCD display.
