Electric Heating Jacket Ball Valves

Electric heating jacket ball valves are designed for automated shut-off in piping systems handling viscous, temperature-sensitive, or easily solidifying media. The valve body is fitted with an external heating jacket, which allows a heating medium to circulate around the valve body and helps maintain the process medium at a suitable operating temperature.

By maintaining the temperature around the valve cavity and flow passage, the heating jacket helps reduce the risk of media thickening, crystallizing, or solidifying inside the valve. This is useful for applications handling materials such as wax, resin, asphalt, grease, adhesives, polymers, syrups, and other media that require heat preservation to remain flowable.

The valve is available with either flanged or wafer end connections. Flanged versions are suitable for conventional bolted pipeline installations, while wafer versions provide a more compact installation option between mating pipe flanges. The heating jacket can be supplied with threaded or flanged inlet and outlet connections to match the plant heating circuit.

PTFE seats provide reliable sealing and compatibility with a range of suitable process media. The valve can be equipped with ON/OFF, modulating, or intelligent electric actuators for remote open-close operation, adjustable valve positioning, and local operating-status indication.

Electric heating jacket ball valves are commonly used in chemical processing, resin and adhesive production, asphalt and bitumen systems, food processing, cosmetics manufacturing, polymer handling, and other heated process lines where stable media temperature is required for reliable valve operation.
