Pneumatic knife gate valves are designed for automated shut-off in pipelines handling slurry, pulp, wastewater, powder, and other media containing suspended solids. The valve uses a pneumatic cylinder to drive the gate in a linear motion, allowing fast opening and closing in industrial process lines.
The knife-edge gate is designed to pass through or cut through thick, sticky, or particle-containing media, helping reduce blockage around the flow passage. This makes the valve suitable for applications where conventional shut-off valves may be affected by buildup, sediment, or fibrous materials.
Flanged, lugged, and wafer end connection designs are available for different pipeline installation requirements. Flanged versions provide a conventional bolted connection, lugged versions offer a more secure mounting structure, and wafer versions provide a compact installation option between mating pipe flanges.
Metal-seated and PTFE seat options are available to match different media and operating conditions. Carbon steel and stainless steel body materials can be selected according to the required corrosion resistance, temperature range, pressure rating, and project specifications.
