Manual globe valves are designed for pipeline shut-off and general flow regulation in industrial piping systems. The valve uses a rising stem structure, and the disc moves linearly toward or away from the seat to open, close, or adjust the flow passage.
Compared with gate valves, globe valves are more suitable for applications where occasional throttling or flow adjustment may be required. Their internal flow path creates a higher pressure drop than straight-through gate valves, but it also allows better control of the flow opening during manual operation.
Flanged and threaded end connections are available for different pipeline layouts. Flanged globe valves are suitable for standard bolted installation in process pipelines, while threaded globe valves are commonly used in smaller utility lines, equipment piping, and compact systems where easy installation and replacement are required.
Body material options include WCB, SS304, and SS316 to suit different pressure, temperature, and corrosion-resistance requirements. The valve can be used for compatible water, steam, oil, air, and general industrial media according to the selected material, pressure rating, temperature condition, and project specifications.
Manual globe valves are commonly used in steam systems, water supply lines, industrial utilities, oil systems, chemical processing, HVAC systems, and general process pipelines requiring manual shut-off or flow adjustment.
