Flanged Lift Check Valves
Flanged lift check valves are designed to prevent reverse flow in industrial piping systems. The valve uses a guided lifting disc that moves upward when the medium flows in the correct direction and returns to the seat when reverse flow occurs, helping protect pumps, pipelines, and process equipment from backflow.
The standard configuration is a self-acting lift check valve without a handwheel. A handwheel-operated version can also be supplied when a screw-down closing function is required, allowing the valve to be manually held closed in addition to its normal check-valve function.
Compared with swing check valves, lift check valves use a vertical disc movement instead of a hinged swing disc. This structure provides a more guided closing action, but it normally creates higher flow resistance because the medium must lift the disc and pass through a more confined flow path. It is suitable for applications where reliable backflow prevention is required and the system design can accept the additional pressure drop.
The flanged body design provides a stable bolted connection for process pipelines and can be supplied to match common flange standards, including GB, DIN, ASME, and JIS. Body material options include WCB, SS304, and SS316 to suit different pressure, temperature, and corrosion-resistance requirements.
Flanged lift check valves are commonly used in water supply systems, steam lines, industrial utilities, oil systems, chemical processing, power plants, and general process pipelines requiring automatic backflow prevention.
