VS07 Water Solenoid Valve

A pilot-operated diaphragm solenoid valve uses a small pilot valve — controlled by the solenoid coil — to direct inlet pressure to open or close a larger diaphragm that controls the main flow. Because the main valve is opened by fluid pressure rather than purely by the coil’s electromagnetic force, this design allows a relatively small coil to control a much larger valve body, keeping power consumption low while handling high flow rates.

The trade-off is that pilot-operated valves require a minimum inlet pressure to function (typically 0.3 bar or above) to ensure enough pressure differential exists to actuate the diaphragm. This makes the VS07 solenoid valve well suited to pressurized water systems, but not suitable for zero-pressure or gravity-fed applications (for those, VS02 would be the appropriate choice).
