A vantagem destes materiais \u00e9 o facto de poderem ser vedados com bin\u00e1rios mais baixos e com uma veda\u00e7\u00e3o estanque. A sede macia tem a forma de uma esfera, de modo a que nem uma \u00fanica mol\u00e9cula de g\u00e1s possa escapar.
