Mas quando aplicada ao tratamento de \u00e1gua, esta defini\u00e7\u00e3o \u00e9 alargada para abranger o manuseamento de fluidos multif\u00e1sicos, reagentes qu\u00edmicos corrosivos e diferentes perfis t\u00e9rmicos.<\/div><div>\u00a0<\/div><div class=\"ace-line ace-line old-record-id-McdMdFEuiokVHrxsXefcuf0ynyg\">O princ\u00edpio de funcionamento destas v\u00e1lvulas baseia-se no contacto de um componente de fecho interno, por exemplo, disco, esfera ou port\u00e3o, com uma sede estacion\u00e1ria e um anel de sede estacion\u00e1rio. A precis\u00e3o desses movimentos \u00e9 o que define a vida \u00fatil do leito filtrante e a pureza do efluente.<\/div><div>\u00a0<\/div><h3 class=\"heading-3 ace-line old-record-id-MfOnd6i1koqw55xIN7qcXL2wnAg\">Osmose inversa (RO)<\/h3><div class=\"ace-line ace-line old-record-id-ND3qdkGCfoaIfIxzlWycvKHTnHf\">O processo RO \u00e9 um ambiente de alta press\u00e3o no qual as v\u00e1lvulas t\u00eam de lidar com diferenciais osm\u00f3ticos elevados e caudais elevados. Neste caso, as v\u00e1lvulas s\u00e3o aplicadas no controlo de bombas de alta press\u00e3o e na rejei\u00e7\u00e3o de salmoura. As v\u00e1lvulas utilizadas em RO devem estar em condi\u00e7\u00f5es de suportar press\u00f5es que normalmente ultrapassam os 60 bar e suportar as carater\u00edsticas corrosivas da salmoura concentrada. A v\u00e1lvula, neste caso, \u00e9 a guardi\u00e3 da integridade da membrana, que impede o refluxo e equilibra a linha t\u00e9nue entre a recupera\u00e7\u00e3o do permeado e a incrusta\u00e7\u00e3o da membrana.<\/div><div>\u00a0<\/div><h3 class=\"heading-3 ace-line old-record-id-ZiycdZo3moIHPYxqheAc0DbmnVg\">Tratamento de \u00e1guas residuais<\/h3><div class=\"ace-line ace-line old-record-id-JKzgde5MNoNwELxbuy2cz143nYU\">Os processos de tratamento de \u00e1guas residuais apresentam o problema de fluidos n\u00e3o newtonianos e l\u00edquidos com grandes quantidades de s\u00f3lidos org\u00e2nicos e inorg\u00e2nicos. Ao considerar aplica\u00e7\u00f5es espec\u00edficas de tratamento de \u00e1guas residuais, as v\u00e1lvulas, especialmente as v\u00e1lvulas de guilhotina e as v\u00e1lvulas de obturador, devem ser concebidas de modo a atravessar os s\u00f3lidos sem afetar a veda\u00e7\u00e3o.
